Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio é a porta de entrada para diversas universidades públicas e privadas

Estudantes de instituições de ensino públicas e privadas de Feliz Natal participaram ontem do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio em Feliz Natal e em todo o país. Dos 6,7 milhões de inscritos, 415 inscreveram-se no município. Antes da abertura dos portões na Escola Estadual André Antônio Maggi o clima era de normalidade, mas claro, com a ansiedade pecular que antecede a maratona de testes de redação, língua portuguesa e estrangeira, ciências humanas - geografia, história, filosofia, sociologia e conhecimentos gerais divididos em 90 questões.

A segunda parte do Enem acontece no próximo domingo, 12 de novembro. As questões envolvem matemática e ciências da natureza. Pela primeira vez o Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio será aplicado em dois domingos consecutivos. Nos anos anteriores as provas eram aplicadas em um final de semana no sábado e domingo.

Sobre o Enem

O Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem [1]) é uma prova realizada pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira, autarquia vinculada ao Ministério da Educação do Brasil, e foi criada em 1998. Ela é utilizada para avaliar a qualidade do ensino médio no país. Seu resultado serve para acesso ao ensino superior em universidades públicas brasileiras, através do Sistema de Seleção Unificada (SiSU), assim como em algumas universidades no exterior.

O Enem é o maior exame vestibular do Brasil (reconhecido oficialmente pelo RankBrasil – Recordes Brasileiros) e o segundo maior do mundo, atrás somente do Gāo Kǎo, o exame de admissão do ensino superior da República Popular da China.[2] A prova conta com mais de 7 milhões de inscritos, divididos em 1.661 municípios do país.[3]

A prova também é feita por pessoas com interesse em ganhar bolsa integral ou parcial em universidade particular através do Programa Universidade para Todos (ProUni) ou para obtenção de financiamento através do Fundo de Financiamento ao Estudante do Ensino Superior (Fies). Desde 2009 o exame serve também como certificação de conclusão do ensino médio em cursos de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), antigo supletivo, substituindo o Exame Nacional para Certificação de Competências de Jovens e Adultos (Encceja).

A prova foi criada em 1998, sendo usada inicialmente para avaliar a qualidade da educação nacional. Teve sua segunda versão iniciada em 2009, com aumento do número de questões e utilização da prova em substituição ao antigo vestibular. O exame é realizado anualmente e tem duração de dois dias, contém 180 questões objetivas (divididas em quatro grandes áreas) e uma questão de redação.
