Foi desenvolvido no mês passado em Feliz Natal, o “Maio Amarelo”. Essas foram ações de educação no trânsito. O projeto foi desenvolvido nas escolas do município, em parceria com Detran, Polícia Militar, Auto Escola e ciclistas de Feliz Natal.

“Cada escola se mobilizou, algumas criaram cartazes, faixas, laços amarelos e painéis. Tivemos palestras e no último dia da campanha, tivemos um passeio ciclístico e pit stop”, explica a coordenadora da Escola Estadual André Antônio Maggi, Lilian Silva. Ainda segundo Lilian, a iniciativa desse projeto da é conscientizar nossos estudantes e obter uma mudança de comportamento e atitude, além de estimular no aluno hábitos e comportamentos seguros no trânsito, transformando o conhecimento em ação.

De acordo com informações do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), entre os anos de 2003 e 2015, foram registradas 13.183 mortes no trânsito, somente no Estado de Mato Grosso. Não existem estatísticas disponíveis para o município de Feliz Natal.
