Prazo para renovação de contratos do Fies é prorrogado

Os estudantes poderão renovar os contratos do Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil (Fies) até 30 de novembro. Originalmente, o prazo terminava ontem, e foi estendido por mais 10 dias. De acordo com o Ministério da Educação (MEC), esta é a última prorrogação do prazo e chance dos interessados em continuar com o financiamento. A portaria com a prorrogação do prazo será publicada hoje no Diário Oficial da União.

Até o dia 30 de novembro, os estudantes poderão fazer a transferência integral de curso ou de instituição de ensino e de solicitar mais prazo para uso do financiamento.

O MEC alerta que os contratos do Fies devem ser renovados a cada semestre. Inicialmente, o pedido de renovação é feito pelas faculdades e, depois, os estudantes devem validar as informações no Sistema Informatizado do Fies (SisFies).

"Nos aditamentos simplificados, a renovação é formalizada a partir do momento em que o estudante faz a validação no sistema. Já no aditamento não simplificado – quando há alteração nas cláusulas do contrato, como mudança de fiador –, o estudante precisa levar toda a documentação comprobatória ao agente financeiro", informa o ministério.

Conforme levantamento do MEC, do total de 1,28 milhão de contratos previstos para o segundo semestre deste ano, 1.067.568 alunos já haviam feito o aditamento até a última sexta-feira, o equivalente a 83%.
