De 21 a 28 de agosto é comemorada a Semana Nacional da Pessoa com Deficiência Intelectual e Múltipla. O tema de 2018 é “FAMÍLIA E PESSOA COM DEFICIÊNCIA, PROTAGONISTAS NA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS”, e por todo país as APAEs se mobilizam e promovem ações em prol a divulgação dessa data.

Durante esses dias, a FEDERAÇÃO NACIONAL DAS APAES - FENAPAES, abre debates para a reflexão da igualdade e inclusão social, com o objetivo é sensibilizar governos e comunidades em relação às potencialidades das pessoas com deficiência e chamar a atenção para as suas necessidades.

Em Feliz Natal, a Semana Nacional da Pessoa com Deficiência Intelectual e Múltipla é realizada pela Escola de Educação Especial Feliz Viver – APAE, que realizará os seguintes eventos:

A APAE de Feliz Natal, esta sediada na Rua Itapiranga Nº 212 e atualmente atende a 33 alunos com diferentes deficiências, oferecendo atendimento pedagógico, iniciação para o trabalho, fisioterapia, hidroterapia e viabiliza a inclusão social através de atividades de expressão artística e cultural, valorizando as potencialidades da pessoa com deficiência.
